These conform to part M of the Building Regulations for Public Access Buildings. 900mm x 1400mm for an unaccompanied wheelchair user and 1100mm x 1400mm for a wheelchair user and attendant.
OPAL Model
The Genesis OPAL model is a reliable, cost effective accessibility solution for public buildings or private residence. This durable and easy-to-use lift is DDA compliant and suitable for indoor or outdoor applications requiring vertical transportation up to five feet or 500mm.
The Genesis OPAL is a short rise vertical elevating system that can be installed directly on the floor or in a pit. The OPAL consists of a platform with 1100mm high sidewalls, a free standing upper gate, a platform mounted lower landing gate, a drive system and easy-to-use operating controls. The platform walls and the lower platform gate travel with the platform creating a barrier around the passenger. This DDA compliant lift can be installed with little or no site modifications. The OPAL is ideal for applications requiring vertical travel up to five feet or 500mm.
Enclosure Models
The Genesis is a vertical platform lift designed to provide access into or within public buildings. It travels inside a complete, self-contained enclosure, as shown above, or can be located in a shaftway constructed by others. Our unique, anodized aluminium design is strong, durable and attractive.
The Genesis Shaftway Model fits inside a vertical runway that is built by others in accordance to Swallow Lifts specifications. The system consists of a drive mast, passenger platform and doors or gates. The shaftway can be completely enclosed, much like an elevator shaftway, or it can be open at the upper landing. A variety of doors and gates can be provided, ranging from aluminium and Plexiglas design to fire rated doors. There is no external motor room required, as this is integral within the shaft.
